RHODA ROBY
Rhoda Roby is a junior majoring in Computer Science at Cedarville University, set to graduate in 2026. She has demonstrated leadership and initiative throughout his academic journey, serving as Vice President of the Freshman Class. Active in the university community, Rhoda is a member of the American Enterprise Institute and works as a Cedarville University tour guide, sharing his passion for the school with prospective students and their families.
Originally from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Rhoda brings a diverse perspective to his endeavors. She has a keen interest in public speaking, regularly engaging in opportunities to refine his skills and connect with various audiences.
During the summers of 2023 and 2024, Rhoda gained valuable industry experience working as a Software Engineer at Paychex, one of the world’s largest fintech companies. Her role at Paychex involved developing innovative software solutions, contributing to the company's mission of helping businesses of all sizes grow sustainably.

Rhoda Roby is also enthusiastic about her involvement with the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where she has had the privilege to attend fully paid conference meets and summits. AEI's commitment to fostering dialogue on economic policy and promoting intellectual diversity aligns closely with Rhoda's academic and professional interests. These experiences have not only enriched her understanding of contemporary economic issues but have also provided valuable networking opportunities with industry leaders and fellow scholars passionate about effecting positive change through informed policy discussions.
During her tenure as Vice President of the Freshmen Class at Cedarville University, Rhoda Roby played a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for incoming students, guided by the theme of unity. Leading initiatives such as orientation programs and social events, she prioritized unity and community-building among peers, drawing inspiration from the verse in Hebrews 10:24-25 which encourages "...let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Through effective communication and organizational skills, Rhoda facilitated collaborative efforts that contributed to a positive freshman experience, ensuring that all voices were heard and represented within their class activities.

Rhoda Roby, originally from the Kingdom of Bahrain, graduated high school with a passion for travel and exploration deeply ingrained in her. Born and raised in a middle-class family, she initially believed that there were limits to what she could achieve. However, Rhoda's mindset shifted as she began breaking barriers and embarked on the journey of her dreams. Growing up, she thrived in leadership roles, whether guiding teams through scientific projects, delivering speeches with confidence, or taking the wheel on adventurous drives.
At Cedarville University, Rhoda not only excels academically but also contributes actively to the campus community. Working in the IT department, she is known for bringing joy to the office with her positive attitude and enthusiasm. Over the past two years, Rhoda has organized and led various campus events such as Live @10, Mission Impossible, Worship Morning, and many more. These initiatives have not only showcased her organizational skills but have also enriched campus life by fostering community spirit and creativity.
For Rhoda, faith has always been central. Her favorite memory verse, Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path," has guided her through every milestone. Moving to the United States expanded her horizons, challenging her to surpass the boundaries set by her upbringing. Her experiences traveling to over 8 states and organizing her family's first vacation to the UAE and Saudi Arabia in December 2023 enriched her understanding of different cultures and reinforced her determination to dream beyond limits.
Reflecting on her journey, Rhoda recognizes the transformative power of breaking barriers. Each step has reaffirmed her belief that with faith and perseverance, anything is possible. Her time at Cedarville has not only broadened her academic horizons but also deepened her appreciation for the diverse opportunities available to those willing to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
